Roads traveled alone can be
Fearful
Navigating places that only exist in the human mind,
Swimming in seas of humanity’s lost ideals and forgotten dreams
But drifting is just a looser form of steering,
Catching the tides and
Falling in suspension
When we look, truth-eyed, we can see
That in the heart of our greatest fear
Is our greatest triumph
And in the seed of our greatest dream
Is our path
Can another human being hear the soft spoken language
Of the spirit’s intention?
Can we truly listen into the depths
Of physicality?
I have drifted, wandered, walked loneliness
To come out the other side of tomorrow
Changed
And in the vastness of experiential contact
I found a re-connection
And in the understatement, the quiet grace of your actions,
I find my re-definition of
Heroism
